GAMC is truly an internet based marketing company, growing with the
internet since the mid 90s. With several years of experience, and through
a few website changes, the company has learned to focus on markets that
they can serve the best, providing good, original mascot costumes for
schools and businesses at the lowest possible cost.
The craftsmen and women at GAMC have been building unique costumes and
props for a long time. This is a picture of Mark a few years ago on the
set of a local production of "Little Shop of Horrors". (He explained that
the list of people who could help build giant man-eating plants in the
small town where he set up his first studio was rather short.) It wasn't
too unusual for Mark.
"Some of the first memories that I have are about building
puppets, monsters and dinosaurs. I watched Sesame Street to see the
Muppets, and looked for the easiest way to build decent looking cloth
puppets. I ruined a lot of socks! As I looked for pictures for the special
projects section page for the new website, I found surprise- puppets,
monsters, and dinosaurs. At least I have more talented help, and slightly
better budgets!" He has a bigger audience, too, as the company's mascot
costume work has now been featured on national television and in
international promotions. As a young adult, he also studied marketing,
(BA, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, 1989) and worked as a marketing director in
his own promotions business and for a large Blockbuster Video franchise.
"I still enjoy being part of larger projects. One of the things that keeps
me motivated is seeing how simple mascot program can really help almost
all businesses, whether they are a Fortune 500, publicly traded company or
a local franchise. I just think that it's kind of neat, effective idea".
